June at Villa Michaela

Finally full summer has arrived at Villa Michaela. The days are long and hot. Luckily there is a lot going on in the region to fill them, from wine tasting at local vineyards to Calcio Fiorentino (the bloodiest game you’ll ever see in the streets of Florence). Villa Michaela has been busy. Over the last month we have had guests from all corners of the world each on their own quest for some peace, tranquility, good Tuscan wine and a little of la dolce vita.
Bespoke Wine Tasting Tour
One of the highlights was definitely the annual Cantine Aperte at Montecarlo where over a dozen vineyards opened their doors to the public to taste their wines and nibble on locally produced cheese, truffles and porchetta. At the beginning of the day you are given a wine glass and a map to navigate the bacchanalian route. The Villa Michaela team managed to cover six vineyards, after which calling it a day (we challenge you to achieve any more!)
We are also now working with all of these vineyards here at the Villa, so if you can’t wait until next year to meander through the hills of Montecarlo wine glass in hand debating whether to follow the Sauvignon or Sémillon route, then fear not, at Villa Michaela we can organise your very own bespoke wine tour. Just get in touch with us via email.

    Hello,
We’re from Australia and we’re hoping to get married in Italy in June 2017. We will have about 25-30 guests and we’re wondering if a wedding this small is possible at your beautiful residence? We’re thinking about having the wedding around the 20th of June. We’re happy to have it mid-week. Any information you can provide us would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Stacey Roveda.
